Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato Toner
April 13, 2009If you ask me to name one product that really changed my life, it would have to be Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato Toner. Since I started using it, my skin has improved—I’ve been having less blemishes and pimples, my skin is more even and it’s actually smooth now. The toner doesn’t sting, even when applied near the eye area (this is great news), but it hurts like a bitch if you happen to accidentally apply it on open wounds (like a cut or a popped pimple) or irritated areas so do be careful about that. Oh, and best thing, it ’s not as drying as other toners out there. I sometimes skip moisturizer altogether when I use this.
I love everything about this toner except, well, one thing: the bottle, which is made of glass and looks like cough syrup bottles from earlier centuries. It’s actually pretty cute, but it’s rather large and heavy and I’m always afraid that I’ll break it whenever I use it. I just transfer some product into a smaller plastic container which I find more hygienic and travel-friendly.
One bottle sells for P800 at Beauty Bar. Honestly, I think it’s worth the price since I’ve come to the point where I can’t spend a day not using it. In fact, I’m on my second bottle already. Love it! If your skin is “oily and troubled” this product is for you. It says on the bottle, haha.
Will I buy this again? DEFINITELY. I stopped using it for a while and my skin got bad again.
My dogs, Bogart and Toopy. Toopy is the one with the fat ass. Lol.

OMG! I was seriously thinking of buying this, having read that it is absolutely fantastic but I found it pricey so I hesitated.
Hearing your review though changed my mind. Will drop by a Beauty Bar when I can.
donnarence: it does, but i dont think you can buy it separately. you can buy it in a set and the cheapest is P700+ up to P1000 with a bunch of other sample size products of burts bees.
anie: i found it too expensive too! i mean, really, its just a toner. i was thinking of just getting something from the body shop which has good skin care products too and call it a day. still, im glad i bought this. no regrets.
Posted by projectvanity at April 14, 2009, 11:09 pmHey I have used this!!! aside from the bottle, I kinda am not fond of the scent (just me and my nose) but you’re right its a wonderful product!
Posted by Nikki at April 14, 2009, 11:10 pmnikki: yeah, there’s a rather strong scent no? it put me off rin in the beginning but now i dont notice it anymore. teehee.
Posted by projectvanity at April 14, 2009, 11:16 pmyou’re right!!! I’ve been lurking through your blog for a while and I’ve had really bad skin.. That’s why I don’t apply make-up as much and I get so envious of the girls who can because their skin can handle it. I tried this product and yesss you’re right!! It’s amazing!! I’m looking forward to more of your posts and reviews
